We are looking for a talented Transmission Tech to join AAMCO Chester. You will be responsible for inspecting customer vehicles, diagnosing problems with the engine, transmission, or other systems, perform routine maintenance, and complete necessary repairs. Candidates with more than one year of mechanic experience are preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems
- Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems
- Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
- Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to customer service manager and other technicians
- Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques
- Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, competitive hourly rate, not flat rate.
Transmission experience a bonus but not required, we will train the right person.
Not a state inspection location so no inspector’s license needed.
